Artist Statement: In this painting, I sought to capture the profound sorrow and heaviness of Christ’s suffering in Gethsemane. Beneath the branches of an olive tree, He kneels in solitude, carrying the weight of the world’s sins. The darkness of the moment is evident, but through the branches, light begins to break, a sign of hope and Christ’s great victory.
