Artist Statement: This series explores a pattern derived from what might be described as a sideways Star of David. In this orientation, the design is about linking members of a community to each other (as opposed to the linking of heaven and earth in the more usual orientation). The title "Seal" speaks to the bonds we have between us. A seal made by a signet ring worn by one with authority assures authenticity and legality.
